Getting it for Xbox later today. My computer sucks terribly.

If you don't see me for a few days, you know where I'll be. Also, I feel as though I'll have the Skyrim Barbarian song stuck in my head the whole day...

Getting a TES game on console? Blasphemy!

Seriously, if it isn't too late and you can get it on PC. Mods add a couple thousand hours to any TES game.

This, my computer can handle MMOs and stuff fine, but actual games on it make it jump into a straight jacket. Although, I like vanilla game a lot. Most mods just seem weird to be in the universe, give or take I haven't really looked too much at them besides amusing videos of them.

Oh, so those are Skyrim graphics! I haven't even bothered to check and see what skyrims about until I clicked the link. That's pretty epic, I can see why everyone's so excited.

I didn't, that was the first time I heard that song. Frickin' awesome.

The one I meant was the choir in the background of the rapping.

Liking it so far, hating the animations - or lack thereof - on NPCs though. Yelling at each other in the middle of an argument and they just stand there, doing nothing. Not looking angry, not waving fists at each other, just standing around hands by there sides staring blankly into nothingness. WTF.

Love the constellation upgrade thing though, that's awesome.

Post by Sir Porkchop on Mon Nov 14, 2011 2:30 am

I am sad because I have to wait until my birthday for Skyrim. Oh well 3 days isn't long. My brother got it pre-ordered and it looks nice. Graphics don't seem brilliant on Xbox but hopefully better on PC :P. Dragons are waaaay too common, though. Oh well that's more dragon shouts :D
I NEED SKYRIM.
Also I'm going to mod the crap out of it once I finish the 100,000,000+ hours of gameplay three times. And I'm gonna be the one modding it. ;)

Out of curiosity what kind of characters are you guys playing? My mostly passive mage I've used since Morrowind(Illusion/Alteration/Conjuration with a little Restoration and Alchemy are the primary skills I use) is turning out pretty cool in this game. I'm playing on master and really enjoying the fact that it seems balanced around having a companion. I have a feeling it will get on my nerves when I get past my initial play through and move on to something I want to be able to whack things with and not have a follower in my way but that's for me to decide later.

I do dislike some things about the spells though. Things like invisibility, paralyze, ect. come way too late. Having a meat shield makes up for that but I'm having to play Skyrim a lot differently than I'm used to with my character of choice.

Re: Skyrim

Post by AJ.Wisteria on Wed Nov 16, 2011 10:25 pm

I have to wait until like, next week for Skyrim... I plan on kinda recreating the characters I had in Oblivion (Dark elf, Breton mage/assassin, Wood elf thief).

Hey, does anyone know how long a year is on Nirn (the planet Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind take place on)? Because apparently 200 years have passed since the Oblivion Crisis, and M'aiq the Liar (that Khajit?) is in Skyrim, which makes him over 200 years old. Either years are really short on Nirn or Khajits live for a LOOOONG time.

also, apparently Sheogorath returns in Skyrim, which is AWESOME.
