Having some technical issues, please help :(

Post by sonicxs2 on Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:04 pm

so yesterday i installed zombiecraft. it worked perfectly while i used it. but then when i try to launch normal minecraft, i get blackscreen when i login, it doesn't give me a crash message, it just sits at a blackscreen until i close it. i have tried deleting the jar file and reinstalling it, removing zombiecraft, and even deleting the whole minecraft file and reinstalling it all. but NOTHING seems to be working, so unless i can get it working again, im stuck using the miniature size, in-browser minecraft. please help, im VERY desperate :(

Delete the mods folder in your .minecraft folder and use a fresh minecraft.jar.

Ummm.... How many times have you tried redownloading the Minecraft.jar? Maybe you were really unlucky and got a lot of corrupt downloads. All I can really suggest for this is delete the .Minecraft folder, redownload the .exe from minecraft.net and run it and hope it works.
Also, what are your system specs? Maybe your computer decided to just spit it with Minecraft for some reason and doesn't like running it anymore, or is lagging horribly with it. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened (mumbles something about Medieval 2...)

Impossible.
1. It is not a corrupt file, that is not possible in this case, due to md5 sum checks.
2. If he was running minecraft before, there is no reason he can't be now.

What it could be, is drivers failing, corrupt java files or missing/incorrect registry entries.

Possible Solutions
1. Try reinstalling Java.
2. Delete the .minecraft folder and do a fragment then re-download.
3. Search your computer for anything minecraft related.
4. Update your graphics drivers, however I doubt they are at any fault what so-ever.
5. Scratch number 4, it is nonsense.
