New Map Laws

So, to end all confusion; On arrival on the new map, you first must survive spawn. This is a challenge only I know about, and it will test you to the core. On your completion, you will arrive in a large room with chests. Find your chest and your starter kit, and you have started your new adventure!

You will then have two options to begin with;
1. Work with myself on the town considered spawn town (NOTE; this will NOT be on, or even relatively near, spawn. I have other plans for spawn). You can be in character, or not.
2. Work with Wind on New Cerberus. All work on New Cerberus will be done IN-CHARACTER, unless said other-wise.

Throughout the construction of both towns, I'm bringing back my mission idea. If you don't recall from the early days, I will give everyone on the server a mission.
BETTER IDEA. This will be a competition between towns. The missions will be like build a town Church, survive the first night, find the collapsed statue of Uron'Gar, etc. (And somewhere a long the line there will be RP directed by Faelar).

After a week or two working on these towns, the Town Council will start accepting applications to venture forth and create new towns. However, we will be VERY strict on the number of towns, and if any go inactive, shall end with a boom.

The Town Council will be determined at a later date.

You must also work up 54 iron BLOCKS to pay for a Town License. Yes, you need a license.

And Cerberus isn't the type of town to do "pvp wars" - in it's current state it's pretty much strictly against war unless it's against the Overlich.

Once the town council(which will be voted on - more information in a thread I'll make soon) is formed the 3-5 leaders of New Cerberus are welcome to change that but for the first couple weeks that stands.

And all of New Cerberus' founding will be in-character so if any serious competition goes on that needs to be factored in. We will work slower than we would if we were just building things quickly and communicating with "you get stone I'll get wood".

I don't mind. I'm just pointing out that it will be in-character so the New Cerberus group will naturally work slower if spawn town is a bunch of people working and not talking.

I'm guessing no interference from me if it comes down to finding memorials to the old map? Probably wouldn't be fair if I did.

Anyways... Sounds like fun, and was nigh-on asking you if you were going to do some adventure thing with Spawn. Damn ninjas. Imma check if my internet is fast enough for me to connect atm, so we can fire my finished cannon, as using mobile internet I have about 1000 ping >.>

Ohh and one more thing - I'll be making an application thread soon for New Cerberus. I'm going to be strict on who is allowed into the initial group. It isn't as much a choice as it is a privilege for those who will be in the founding group that will build the foundations of the town and vote on the leadership. I'll(or if I'm not chosen to be a leader the leaders will hopefully) go soft again once the first week or so is over but I don't want issues with people dragging behind in the roleplaying around the founding.

I'll explain it better when I get an hour to make a thread for it.

1.9 seeds are not out, the pre-release is, but I will be waiting for the proper 1.9 release before making the map and the memorials.

I'm honestly looking forward to this new map. I've basically done no work on our current map knowing we're going to get the new map soon, so being able to build and such with confidence will be fun. So will RP'ing the building of New Cerberus.

Rpwise, you are referred to often as "The Frazzled One".

And I would like to have completed a number of events on my agenda on the old map before we switch to the new map- but I can't do this until all the necessities are fixed.

Well, the mod I'm looking at is out-dated, but is being upgraded to 1.9 when it comes out.
I suppose I'll go looking for a spawnmob plugin that is upgraded to 1.8.

On-Topic: I will be making a town, and hopefully it will get accepted, but I'll just have to wait and see. I am actually really excited about the new map. But I will be very sad to see the current map go. :( But I think my excitement is overpowering my sadness.

Frazz, the challenges sound really cool! :DDD I can't wait to do them! :D Also, will there be teams for them? Or will it be Spawn town vs New Cerberus? Note: SpartanCoin like churches, he might be able to build a good one? If we have teams, he might be a good person to have, But I dunno.

Also, about my town. I will need A LOT of helpers. Please contact me online or with a PM to me here on the forums if you are interested in helping. There will be pay for most jobs(Just talk to me and we'll suss it out).

P.S. Blaze... You missed out Raptor! One of our awesome admins! His Username is ReceptiveRaptor, as you probably know(From warnings to stay away from him? :P), and Nickname/RP name is Philosoraptor. Also, Dethane's Nickname is Kadafi. And Kairus' RP name is Gr'alath, or Ukisar, it's Gr'alath atm I think.

There are two more problems.

our pvp mod appears to be broken or outdated. For the events to commence, we may have to deactivate the mod so that pvp can exist, and therefore events can exist. From there, I suppose we would return to our old rules- pvp must be voluntary on both sides or face harsh punishment.

The last problem is that I cannot currently toggle godmode of other players, and some moderators- as well as jocc, I believe- are trapped in godmode as a result.

Mhmm, but Jocc isn't trapped in godmode. Frazz fixed it, Remember? He threw Jocc in lava multiple times, Made Jocc admin for a second, and then normal player, then threw him in lava again, then it was fixed, then I told Frazz to make Jocc Donater again. The End.

About Pvp, I don't think it should be to much of a problem. But... Some people do whack eachother with swords and they know it won't hurt because neither of them have Pvp on, that'll have to change. XD

I thought there was a relapse. Fortunately, that seems to not be the case.
