Is mini-map mod against the rules?

Post by Lagg-ninja on Sun Aug 21, 2011 3:06 am

So I just downloaded and installed a modpack (yogbox) which had the minimap mod, and I'm lazy so switching between that and my backup of vanilla seems like alot of trouble. so I was wondering if it was against the rules to have it.

If it is I'll just change back and forth if not then I'll keep it XD

Thanks for the help

I doubt it, it gives no advantage over any other players :P
like you can't find ores with it or use it to hunt down and kill others.

You can still cheat with yogbox (unless it's changed since I last had it) because you can go into the health mod option, put it back to 10 hearts and that heals you to full health.

That would be single player only, health is server side.

Well I had the yogbox and I logged into the server and was still able to change my health and able to heal myself but the way i explained my previous post. Once I found that out I got rid of the yogbox

For other players though, I *believe* that the usage of minimap mods was approved.

Actually, I know for a fact that health is server side. Ever hacked money in runescape? I have. I had 99 bil. It was easy. Then, I put it in the bank, where it simply reverted to the actual amount. What im saying here, is that the health would have LOOKED full, but the server still would know what it actually was, and wouldn't have affected anything what so ever.

It's basicly like holding a map all the time. I don't see a problem with it.

And Kai is right :P
