New Cerberus Cemetery

Post by Wheeind on Mon Jun 11, 2012 2:00 pm

Just a simple thread for the cemetery. Instead of allowing silly things to go on the graves I will be requiring "applications" for them.

Don't bother applying unless the person in question died after the second cataclysm, was "real"(not something you thought up just to make a grave) and has a reason to be in our graveyard(family in New Cerberus, history as a citizen in New Cerberus, ect.)

Simple format here:

Name of the deceased
Their relation to you
Why do you feel New Cerberus is a good resting place for them?

This is mostly for the future. We have a mausoleum in honor of everyone who died before and during the second cataclysm, if any characters or otherwise relevant people died during the temporary maps and you feel their resting place belongs with the New Cerberus you may post an application but please don't post any pre-cataclysm deaths for any reason.

Please don't post unless you're posting an application. I want to keep this thread clean.

Not sure if you noticed this, Skull, but we've had it built for a little while by now, this thread is just so people can apply to get names on the tombstones.

Will it be so dark in the mausoleum that monsters may occasionally spawn in it? Just curious.

Name of the deceased: Richards. (Upon tombstone, put Joesph 'Richards' Richardson)

Their relation to you: My character. Also my other character's technical father.

Why do you feel New Cerberus is a good resting place for them? Richards has many friends living in New Cerberus. Captain Chris, Vice Mayor Animus(And Blaze), Rusk, Faelar(lives close enough), Wind, Squiiji, as well as becoming quick friends with AJ's sister characters. I don't think there's any other place for his 'grave' to be.

*Upon Chris' desk inside the barracks lies a note. On it says:*

'Joesph 'Richards' Richardson. You may decide what else to put on the tombstone..

^ Instantly approved, as I was a part of the Pathfinder session myself. We'll get that done IC.

Name of the deceased: Stim Camwethrin

Their relation to you: Father of Rusk, Ex-Paperwork Doer for the Guard

Why do you feel New Cerberus is a good resting place for them? Stim loved the original town and would want to be buried near his old friends.

Even if it were dark, you could prevent mob spawns by using blocks that mobs can't spawn on for the floor. eg. half slabs of some sort. Stairs also work, and upside down half slabs work as well. I'm not sure what else stops their spawns, but you could use redstone torches for a "dark light" effect.

Any transparent block. E.g. signs, torches, stairs, half slabs, non-sticky pistons, glass etc. They can't spawn on a transparent block, they can't spawn in a transparent block.
